How Does the Weekly Lottery Work on Shark Earnings?

Every ticket you collect during the week is an entry into Sunday's Weekly Lottery - $40 shared between 50 winners, drawn at random. Here is how to collect tickets and how the draw works.

What Is the Weekly Lottery?

The Weekly Lottery is a free prize draw that runs every Sunday night. Throughout the week you collect tickets simply by using the site - earning from offers, completing challenges, placing in the Daily Race, or keeping our link in your Discord status. Every ticket is one entry into the draw.

There is nothing to buy and nothing to opt into. If you have at least one ticket when the week closes, you are automatically in the draw.

Draw time: The week closes Sunday at 23:59 server time and the draw runs shortly after. Tickets do not roll over - each week starts fresh at zero.

How to Collect Tickets

Tickets come from five different sources, so there is always a way to build up entries:

Source Tickets
Earning from offers, surveys and tasks1 per 10 coins - that is 100 tickets per $1.00 earned
Daily Challenges (earn milestones)25 - 250 per challenge
Daily Challenges (inviting friends)50 - 350 per challenge
Daily Race top 1050 - 500 depending on rank
Discord status15 per hour, up to 360 per day
Bonus Challenges (follow our socials)10 each, one time only

The earnings-based tickets are credited automatically - you do not need to claim anything. Challenge tickets need to be collected on the Challenges page.

Prizes: $40 Across 50 Winners

Every draw pays out exactly 40,000 coins ($40.00), split between 50 winners:

Place Prize
1st15,000 coins ($15.00)
2nd7,500 coins ($7.50)
3rd5,000 coins ($5.00)
4th - 10th1,000 coins ($1.00)
11th - 25th200 coins ($0.20)
26th - 50th100 coins ($0.10)

With 50 winners every single week, the odds are far better than a typical prize draw - and more tickets means more entries, so consistent activity pays off.

How Winners Are Picked

The draw is weighted by tickets: if you hold 500 tickets and 25,000 tickets are in the draw, you have roughly a 2% chance on each pick. Once you win a place, your tickets are removed from the pool - so one person cannot take two prizes in the same draw.

Fair & Random

The draw runs automatically from a random seed generated before the week opened, so nobody - including us - can influence the result once tickets start coming in. There is no manual step and no way to favour a particular account.

Nothing to claim. Winnings are credited automatically the moment the draw runs - the coins land in your balance and you get a notification. There is no deadline and no button to press.

Tips for More Entries

  • Claim your Daily Challenges. The earning milestones give tickets on top of the automatic ones - the same work counted twice.
  • Add sharkearnings.com to your Discord status. It runs in the background and gives up to 180 tickets a day for zero effort.
  • Aim for the Daily Race top 10. First place alone is worth 500 tickets - almost three full days of Discord status.
  • Spread your earning across the week. Daily Challenges reset every day, so earning $1 on five days beats earning $5 in one day.
