Quick Answer
1 Shark Coin = $0.001 (one tenth of a cent). In other words, 1,000
Shark Coins = $1.00. That's the only conversion rate on Shark Earnings, it never changes.
1,000
Shark Coins = $1.00

How Does the Conversion Work?
Every time you complete a task, survey, or game offer on Shark Earnings, you earn
Shark Coins. The rate is always fixed:
- Divide your Shark Coins balance by 1,000 to get the USD value
- Multiply your USD balance by 1,000 to get the Shark Coins value
For example: if you have 7,500
Shark Coins, that is $7.50 you can withdraw right now.
How Many Coins Do You Need to Cash Out?
The minimum cashout depends on your chosen payment method:
- Gift Cards: 1,000
Shark Coins ($1.00) - no fee - PayPal & other cash payouts: 1,250
Shark Coins ($1.25) - the 5% fee has a $0.25 minimum, and $1.00 has to arrive on the other side - Prepaid Cards: 1,250
Shark Coins ($1.25) - $0.25 flat fee - Crypto: 2,500
Shark Coins ($2.50) - 1% fee applies
Tip: Gift cards are the best value option - no fee, so 100% of your Shark Coins converts to real rewards. See the full cashout guide →
Where Can You See Your Coin Balance?
Your balance is always visible in the top navigation bar when you are logged in. The wallet always displays your balance in USD ($) first - so you can instantly see how much you have in dollars without doing any conversion yourself. Your full
Shark Coins breakdown is also available on your Account Page under Transactions.
The other two numbers coins turn into
Coins are the balance you cash out, but the same earnings quietly drive two more counters. Both run off exactly the same figure, so once you know the coin rate you know all three.
| Earn this | Coins | XP | Lottery tickets |
|---|---|---|---|
| $0.01 | 10 | 10 | 1 |
| $0.10 | 100 | 100 | 10 |
| $1.00 | 1,000 | 1,000 | 100 |
| $10.00 | 10,000 | 10,000 | 1,000 |
In other words: 1 coin earned = 1 XP, and every 10 coins earned = 1 ticket in that week's draw. Tickets are calculated cumulatively across the week, so small credits are not lost to rounding - see how tickets and the wheel work.
One important difference. Spending coins never costs you XP or tickets. Cashing out reduces your balance only - your XP total and everything it unlocks stay exactly where they were. XP is only ever removed if an earning is reversed by the partner who paid it.
What XP unlocks
XP accumulates into account tiers. Because 1,000 XP equals $1.00 earned, the thresholds are easy to read as lifetime earnings:
| Tier | XP needed | Lifetime earned |
|---|---|---|
| Bronze | 25,000 | $25 |
| Silver | 100,000 | $100 |
| Gold | 250,000 | $250 |
| Diamond | 500,000 | $500 |
| Obsidian | 1,000,000 | $1,000 |
The practical benefit of climbing is speed: higher tiers get shorter review holds on their earnings, with Obsidian the fastest. Note that these account tiers are a separate system from the affiliate commission tiers, which are driven by referral commission rather than XP.
