Understanding "Held" Earnings

To maintain a safe and fair platform for all users, Shark Earnings sometimes places a temporary security hold on earnings from certain offers. You can check the status of your offers on your Tasks page - offers that are currently on hold will display a "Held" status badge next to them.

Why do we place earnings on hold?

A temporary hold allows our automated security system to review a transaction and verify that the offer was completed legitimately. This is crucial for preventing fraud and allows us to continue providing high-paying offers. It is NOT a penalty. It simply means our automated system is performing its standard security checks before releasing the funds.

How does the system decide?

Our system analyzes multiple factors in real-time to determine the appropriate hold period:

• Transaction Amount: Higher-value offers naturally require more thorough verification.
• Your Tier: Your XP-based tier (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond, Obsidian) directly affects hold times - the higher your tier, the shorter your holds.
• Chargeback History: If more than 10% of your recent transactions resulted in a chargeback, longer hold times may apply.
• Risk Signals: The system screens for VPN usage, multi-account activity, or other unusual patterns.

Hold Times

The hold period begins the moment you complete the offer and is determined automatically based on your tier, the transaction amount, and your account standing. Small rewards typically clear the fastest, while larger rewards may be reviewed for longer - especially on newer accounts or accounts with a chargeback history.

The exact timing is calculated automatically for every transaction. We keep the precise formula private to protect the platform from fraud, but the pattern is simple: the higher your tier, the shorter your holds, and most holds release on their own without you doing anything.

How to Get Shorter Hold Times

Hold times are tied directly to your tier. The higher your tier, the shorter your holds across every amount range. You earn XP automatically as you complete offers - every $1 earned generates 1,000 XP. Learn more about the tier system.

What Do I Need to Do?

Nothing. The entire review process is fully automated. Once the hold period expires and our system confirms everything is in order, the reward is automatically released to your balance. Contacting support will not speed up this process.
